"I’m not the type to write testimonials, but I felt compelled to in this instance for the efforts Gus put forth. 30 W. Oak St. is a very exclusive new building in the Gold Coast that I missed the boat on when it was being sold pre-construction. When I finally decided to pull the trigger on the last unit available through the developer, I was informed that it just went under contract at full price. Now with the building being sold out and only 46 total units, I felt I would have to wait for at least a year or two and at a much higher price point to get into this building on a re-sale. I contacted Gus Vlangos at Chicago Home Estates whom I was referred to by a good friend and let him know that this is the building I want and it had to be a specific floor plan on the East side of the building. This essentially cut down the units I would consider to about 15 total in the building. Talk about a long shot. About 3 weeks went by and I got a phone call from Gus with a lead on a prospective seller in the building not even listed on the MLS. Gus made the appointment to view it that night and I made an offer on the spot. This place blew away the developers standards as the homeowner totally and tastefully customized every square inch to perfection. Gus even negotiated for all of the plasma TV’s, and high end stereo equipment to be included in the deal! From start to finish, Gus handled everything and it was the smoothest real estate transaction I have ever been involved in. He is extremely competent and has the utmost integrity.
