Is My Home Ready For Sale?

Is my home ready for sale?

Does your home show well? Many sellers ask me, “What can I do to make my place sell fast?”

Here are a few tips:

  1. Declutter.

Get rid of the junk! Put items you do not need in storage. Focus on closets and bathroom & kitchen countertops first. Do not forget your furniture. If a chair or couch is blocking a walk-way, then move it or put it in storage.

  2. Clean.

Get a cleaning service to really deep clean your home. After that, vacuum daily, dust fixtures, and remove the odors.  Make sure your windows inside and out are nice and clean too!

  3. Repair.

Fix leaky faucets, caulk tubs and showers, and repair cracks in drywall. A handyman can easily fix these items in a couple of hours.

  4. Depersonalize.

Remove yourself from the home. Take down the pictures and personal items that will distract the buyer. Purchasers need to see themselves and not you in the home.

Overall, pretend your home is a showroom that is warm and inviting to the customer!
