Forest Glen Community Area is on the far North-Side and follows Chicago's North boundary from Touhy Ave (7200N) and Caldwell Ave (6500W). Heading East to about Sioux Ave (6134N), the boundary bumps out North to include the 7300 blocks of Mead and McVicker Aves (6100W and 6034W, respectively) around Sherwyn Ave (7342N) and continues on Touhy Ave to the Metra Milwaukee District North Line (5050W). Following the Metra Line SE to about 6815N, the border jumps East to Chicora Ave and another bump-out to the North to include Lunt Ave (7000N) to Central Ave (5600W). Heading South on Central Ave to Ionia Ave (6600N), then SE to Devon Ave (6400N), and finally, East to Springfield Ave (3900W). The West edge of Forest Glen Community Area is shared by Norwood Park Community Area and Jefferson Park Community Area and begins at Touhy Ave and Caldwell Ave. Heading SE on Caldwell Ave, the border jumps from Mendota Ave (approximately 6800N & 6800W) to, roughly, Milwaukee Ave and the North Branch of the Chicago River (6575N & 6525W) and follows the river to the Metra Milwaukee District North Line again. Following the Metra Line to Elston Ave, the border jumps to LeClaire Ave (5100W) and continues South to Winnemac Ave (5036N). From there, a short jump to the East to Lavergne Ave (5000W) and South to Lawrence Ave (4800N). Forest Glen Community Area shares a small South border with Portage Park Community Area on Lawrence Ave between Lavergne Ave and Cicero Ave (4800W). The East boundary, shared by Albany Park Community Area and North Park Community Area, originates at Devon Ave and Springfield Ave. Cutting diagonally to the South-West and across Pulaski Rd, the border joins up with Peterson Ave (6000N) at 4120W, and moves West to Rogers Ave (4150W). Following Rogers Ave SW to Kostner Ave (4400W), South to Bryn Mawr Ave (5600N), then West to the North Branch of the Chicago River, the border follows a small stretch of the river to Cicero Ave and moves South to finish at Lawrence Ave.
