Hegewisch Community Area is the South-East most Community Area sharing its East edge, State Line Rd (4100E), with Indiana. The southern border, 138th St (13800S), stretches from the 1600E coordinate to State Line Rd. The West boundary, and neighboring Riverdale Community Area, is the Bishop Ford Highway from, roughly, 130th St (13000S) & 1400E South to 138th St (13800S) & 1800E. The North limit starts at 13000S & 1400E and moves East on 130th St to Torrence Ave (2628E), North to the Calumet River, North, on the river, to 12400S and 2732E, roughly, then heads SE to 3224E and 13000S. From here, move North, along 3224E, to 117th St (11700S), East to Avenue O (3427E), North to 116th St (11600S), East to the 3830E coordinate, North to 112th St (11200S), and East to State Line Rd (4100E). Hegewisch Community Area's North neighbors are South Deering Community Area and East Side Community Area.
