West Town Community Area shares its West border with Humboldt Community Area. The boundary begins at Humboldt Blvd (300W) South to North Ave (1600N), West to Kedzie Ave (3200W), South to Augusta Blvd (1000N), East to Sacramento Blvd (3000W), South to Chicago Ave (800N), East to California Ave (2800W), South to Grand Ave, SE to Rockwell St (2600W), and South to Kinzie St (400N). The South border follows the 400N coordinate (intermittently Kinzie St) and the Metra Union Pacific West Line; and is shared with Near West Side Community Area. The eastern boundary is comprised of the North Branch of the Chicago River from Kinzie St to the North boundary of, approximately, Bloomingdale Ave at 1800N. West Town Community Area's East neighbor is Near North Side Community Area and to the North lies Logan Square Community Area. Also, a small section of the NE corner of West Town Community area is shared with prestigious Lincoln Park Community Area.
