Preparing the Interior of Your Home

Minor Repairs

One of the things a Seller should consider first is the condition of the property to be sold. Minor repairs, such as a creaking hallway door or that barely leaky bathroom faucet you’ve been planning on fixing for quite some time, will not wait any longer. Prospective home Buyers will not look favorably on minor repairs; attentive agents will use it as leverage to present an offer that is less, sometimes substantially, than the listed price. Having a qualified house inspector evaluate your home for structural concerns before beginning any minor repairs could pay off huge in the end. Repairing the ceiling in an upstairs bedroom is a waste of money if the damage was due to a roof problem. Later on, you might find that you’ll have to repair the ceiling again after the roof is properly addressed.
