The Cragin Neighborhood owes its existence to the Cragin Brothers & Company who developed this suburb into an industrial complex beginning in 1882. With increasingly active rail lines, the population around the Cragin Brothers & Co. factories rose to 200 within the first two years.

Residents of the Cragin Neighborhood enjoy picturesque views indicative of the far North-West Side of Chicago. The North boundary is Roscoe St (3400N) between Cicero Ave (4800W) and Central Ave (5600W). The West limit, Central Ave, runs from Roscoe St to Fullerton Ave (2400N). Comprising the East edge is Cicero Ave from Roscoe St to the Metra Milwaukee District Line near 1850N. The Southern Border is Fullerton Ave from Central Ave to Laramie Ave (5200W), then South to the Milwaukee District Line; the remainder of the Southern limit follows the Metra Line to Cicero Ave.

Real Estate typical of the Cragin Neighborhood includes Single-Family Homes, of which most are bungalow style, two-flat houses, and some new condo construction.
