The Englewood Neighborhood is a South Side neighborhood in Chicago. The area is bordered on the North by Garfield Blvd (5500S), or 55th St, on the South by 75th St and the train tracks that run along the 7500S coordinate, and on the West by Ashland Ave (1600W). The East limit moves South on State St (0 E/W) to Vincennes Ave near 7100S and follows Vincennes Ave SW to finish at 75th St. Commuters enjoy easy access to both the Green Line and Red Line "El" making a quick trip to downtown quite effortless.

Englewood history is quite detailed and goes back to the intitial settlement of Chicago. Strong roots in the Civil Rights Movement were cemented by visits from Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. who is known to have lead two Freedom Marches in Englewood.
