Homan Square is on Chicago's West Side, and is surrounded by the Lawndale Neighborhood on the West, South, and East borders of Independence Blvd (3800W), Roosevelt Rd (1200S), and Kedzie Ave (3200W), respectively. The Blue Line "El" comprises the North border, approximately along the 550S coordinate.
Homan Square residents are primarily renters with children. The area is also prime for development with lot and building prices advantageously lower than one could expect in the city and along such a major transportation corridor as the Eisenhower Expressway and the Blue Line "El." Slowly, but surely, Chicago's West-Side is being considered as a 'diamond in the rough' as westward gentrification steadily marches from Downtown Chicago; and Homan Square is one of the neighborhoods that is sure to reap great rewards.
