Lincoln Square Real Estate enjoys a prime location as the Lincoln Square Neighborhood is a hop, skip and jump from the northwesterly Brown line stop of Wilson and Western Aves. Rich in German tradition, Lincoln Square is home to many traditional haunts including a butcher shop, apothecary, beer gardens, and a social club. In the past five years dozens of fine dining restaurants and cafes have located there along the main street of Lincoln Ave.
The Old Town School of Music opened a magnificent facility there a few years back and is only a few short blocks from one of the most beautiful public libraries in Chicago. Like many other long established northside neighborhoods, Lincoln Square is flush with brick and greystone two-flats and renovated and converted apartment buildings. Well’s Park has long been a central meeting place for Lincoln Square residents and activities are on the agenda there year-round. The most notable feature of this area is the peaceful Rosehill Cemetery. One of the oldest sanctuaries in Chicago, Rosehill's sprawling 350 acre campus opened in 1859. The name, however, does not give credit to the intended person. A prominent local barkeeper at the time, Hiram Roe's surname was to be graced in title, "Roe's Hill." A lack of attention to detail by a cartographer forever altered Hiram's intended legacy. Real Estate in the Lincoln Square Neighborhood includes Multi-Unit, Condos, and Single Family Homes.
