The McKinley Park Neighborhood is on Chicago's South-West Side, centered around S Damen Ave and W 35th St. The North edge is the Stevenson Expwy (~3150S), the West border is Western Blvd (2400W), the South boundary is Pershing Rd (3900s), and the East limit is Ashland Ave (1600W).

Named after McKinley Public Park, this neighborhood became established as a solidly working-class neighborhood in the early 1870's with the construction of iron and steel factories, as well as brickyards. Community pride has kept the two and four-flat residences in good condition, while the 1990s brought new construction to the mix of avaliable housing.
