The Roseland Neighborhood is one of the more uniquely shaped neighborhoods on the Far South Side of Chicago. Primarily bounded by 115th St (11500S) to the South, Halsted St (800W) on the West, Cottage Grove Ave (~532E) on the East, and 107th St (10700S) to the North, a small sliver of Roseland also extends North, encompassed by State St (0E/W) and Michigan Ave (100E) on the West and East, respectively, to 95th St (9500S); yet another segment follows Cottage Grove Ave North, from 107th St, to 103rd St (10300S), East to Maryland Ave (820E), South to 106th St (10600S), West to Langley Ave (700E), South to 108th St (10800S), and finally West to finish back at Cottage Grove Rd.
This neighborhood is the namesake of Roseland Community Area. From being the 'jewel of the South Side' at one time, many individuals have documented their personal Roseland history and snapped various pictures of Roseland.
