The Sheridan Park Neighborhood received its name from a stop on the Chicago, Milwaukee & St. Paul Railway; which was near what is now the Wilson Station on the "El" Red-Line. Designated as a "Historic District" in 1985, the Sheridan Park Neighborhood is noted for its significant examples of architectural design that include Prairie School, Late Victorian, and Late 19th And 20th Century Revivals.
