The Sheridan Park Neighborhood received its name from a stop on the Chicago, Milwaukee & St. Paul Railway; which was near what is now the Wilson Station on the "El" Red-Line. Designated as a "Historic District" in 1985, the Sheridan Park Neighborhood is noted for its significant examples of architectural design that include Prairie School, Late Victorian, and Late 19th And 20th Century Revivals. Sheridan Park Neighborhood residents enjoy housing stock that is primarily large Single Family homes and Multi-Unit real estate, as is prevalent in this area. Sheridan Park Neighborhood boundaries are Lawrence Ave (4800N) on the North, Montrose Ave (4400N) on the South, Clark St (roughly, the 1500W coordinate) to the West, and Racine Ave and the 1200W coordinate on the East.
