The Southport Corridor is a Lakeview neighborhood that has exploded over the last 15 years. Once a desolate stretch of light manufacturing storefronts it is now an eclectic blend of fashionable shopping, entertainment, and upscale housing. New construction projects and total Victorian restorations fill the residential side streets. During the Cubs baseball season it is literally, walking room only.

Bordered by Belle Plaine to the north and Diversey to the south, the corridor itself is the three block stretch on either side of Southport Avenue. Housing consists of an equal blend of condominiums, single family homes and multi-unit buildings. Two neighborhood landmarks are the Mercury and Music Box Theaters. The shopping district is walking distance to Wrigley Field and is easily accessible to two Brown Line El stops, Roscoe/Southport and Irving Park.
