There are few areas in Chicago quite like the Wicker Park Neighborhood. In addition to the spark portrayed in this funky area in the motion picture "Wicker Park," there is a culture bursting at the seams in this northwest Chicago neighborhood. Within the past couple of years, this area is beginning to take more shape and define itself as a "SoHo" community. Formerly known as the bohemian refuge of Chicago, Wicker Park's economy is picking up with a large number of studios, galleries, bars, boutiques and restaurants sinking its roots into the ground. With mansions, many dating as far back as the 1800's, and gorgeous three flats, it is easy for, not only artists, but young families and professionals to find the perfect home here.

Sharing the abundant communter friendly CTA bus lines 72, 56, 50, and the Damen stop on the Blue Line to O'Hare with neighborhing Bucktown to the North, residents enjoy easy access to every facet of the city with less congestion than the morning and evening rush hours of Downtown. Conveniently pocketed by North Ave (1600N) on the North and Division (1200N) on the South, Bucktown's western neighbor, Humboldt Park, is just beyond Western Ave (2400W) while the East edge is graced by ever-popular Noble Square. The Wicker Park Neighborhood is part of West Town Community Area.

Great Wicker Park notables are the Flatiron Arts Building, erected in 1913, housing retail shops and artist's studios; the Chopin Theater features an artistic mix of theatre stages, a cafe, as well as a gallery; and a bit of fun can be had poking around The Boring Store, a shop that promises to not supply spy gear. Or, you could just grab a bite at one of the many Wicker Park Restaurants that have helped to make the area so desirable.
